The Journey begins..

..in Aflao where we visited Doktor Nyarko Mensah, a friends friend friend...(!?!)
It's the boarder city to Lome although very unspectacular. We were at the beach the first time(!!), visited the diamonds cement factory (we don't really know why..) and the lagoon..

Prime Time in Pram Pram

Prampram Beach with some ships that ended their journey there because of the rather wild sea.

Prampram "Harbour"-terribly dirty.

These are the boats the local fishers use-this was my favourite one.

The most important picture of the trip- the turtle. I was very fascinated by it!!!!!
In the other picture you can see me obviously eating (or better trying to eat) an orange "the african way" which has become a new hobby of mine. It's a good way of avoiding to peel the orange. So it's less work-perfect for me!!

Ausruhen in Accra

When we arrived in Accra we settled in the house of friends from Germany. As there aren't too many tourist attractions in Accra and we have seen them I decided to make myself comfortable next to the pool. I think you can imagine me very well...just being lazy! Also we got food just like home. I was in heaven...swimming, sleeping and eating!

Kente in Kumasi

Just when we had planned to go back to Ho Patricia made us change our plans so the next afternoon we took the plane to Kumasi! Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti region where the traditional Kente cloth is made. We visited that place just as the King's palace and the huge market which is supposed to be 14 acres big. By myself I would have been lost after 2 minutes but gladly Anthony our driver was with us.
On the pic you can see some off the colourful kente cloth being made and then how it looks like in the end.

..being beach babes in Busua...

I guess after living in Africa for a while you get a bit weird.

One of the few pictures of Anna and me. I know it's towards the sun but it was the only place we could fine to put the camera and then jump back into the picture...

Some people were working in comparison to us.

I do hope I can make everyone jealous with this picture. I did feel like Robinson Cruesoe cuddling that palm tree....

..That's where I want to go!!!

Finally me once more on the beautiful beach.

Letzte Station...

..was Cape Coast. We visited the old Cape Coast Castle, had a hilarious ,typical african tour around it and of course took lots of pictures ( in the rain!).

The journey has come to end...

Dies war das Ende unserer schoenen Reise...

On the road..
